I always feel honoured when someone chooses me to capture their special memories. There are quite a few of my customers who have gone on to become repeat clients, I feel especially honoured when people ask me to return and capture the next stage in their lives. Whether that’s progressing from a favourite riding school pony to owning or loaning a first pony or capturing memories of a special pet as they move towards the end of their lives. As we start a new year, I thought it would be fun to write a blog showing some throwback images that go back to my initial years photographing, along with more recent images of some of my awesome clients who booked a session with me last year. I had great fun searching through some of my hard drives to see what old photographs I could find. Maddie and Lily with first pony Henry and later with second horse Nova.Maddie and Lily had a photo session with their first pony Henry in 2017 – I was pregnant with my little boy at the time and it was one of the last sessions I did before taking a break from photography to go on maternity leave. Maddie’s parents got her a voucher for a photo session with her new horse, Nova, as a 16th birthday present. They still own Henry and I couldn't believe how much him and Nova look like twins. Chelsea with Penny and later Chelsea with Fern I first photographed Chelsea along side her favourite riding school pony, Penny, at Carrington Riding Centre in 2016. This was a session from when I initially started my photography business. Last summer I met Chelsea with her loan horse, Fern, as Chelsea wanted some photos before saying goodbye to Fern and heading off to University. Lexi and Leila at a riding school show and later with first pony, Tinkerbelle I also photographed Lexi and Leila back in 2016 at Carrington Riding Centre when Leila was still tiny. When I met them last year for their session with their first pony, Tinkerbelle, their Mum, Sophie, told me she still has the photos on the wall at home. Millie during a unicorn mini session and with loan pony, IndyMillie’s Mum, Louise, booked a unicorn mini session with me in summer 2020. I loved doing these unicorn sessions, they were so magical. A year later I captured some images of Millie with her new loan pony, Indy. Oscar and Max Oscar’s Mum, Shadia, booked a Summer mini session with me in Summer 2020. Shadia later arranged a full session with one of her dogs, Max. As Max is getting on in years, Shadia wanted some special images to remember him.
